What's new at JILA:

Heather Lewandowski was a research associate with Jun Ye and is now an Associate Fellow.

Mathias Weber came from Universitaet Karlsruhe and is an Associate Fellow.

Rosalba Perna arrived from Princeton and is a new Associate Fellow.

Alan Gallagher is now retired but still has an active research program.

Marilee DeGoede left JILA for an outreach position with CU-Denver's College of Engineering. She was replaced by Julie Phillips.

Pat McInerney retired from JILA at the end of 2003. He was replaced by Julie Bachinski.

Ralph Jimenez joined JILA as an Associate Fellow, arriving from the Scripps Research Institute.

Konrad Lehnert came to JILA from Yale in December 2002. He is an Associate Fellow.

Ellen Zweibel left JILA at the end of 2002.

Gordon Dunn retired from JILA in December of 2002.

John Bohn has been made a full Fellow of JILA.

Stephen Leone left in July 2002 to take a position at the University of California at Berkeley.

Hans Green left in June 2002 to take a position at CIRES.

Tom Perkins came from Yale to JILA as an Associate Fellow in 2001.

Phil Armitage came from the University of St. Andrews in the UK to join JILA as an Associate Fellow.

Tuck Stebbins left in June 2001 to take a position as a LISA project scientist at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center.

Ralph Mitchell, Director of JILA's Computing and Electronics Services, left in December 2000.

Hans Rohner, Director of the Special Techniques Laboratory at JILA, left in September 2000 to take a position at High Precision Devices.

Leslie Haas retired on June 15, 2000 after 30 years of service to JILA.

Jinx Cooper received the Robert L. Sterns Award at CU's 70th annual alumni awards ceremony on May 9, 2000.

Stephen Leone was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences on April 15, 2000, along with such well-known personalities as George Lucas and Placido Domingo!

Steven Cundiff, Murray Holland, and Deborah Jin were promoted to JILA Fellows in April 2000.

John Bohn was promoted to Associate JILA Fellow in April 2000.

Henry Kapteyn and Margaret Murnane joined JILA as JILA Fellows in the fall of 1999, arriving from the University of Michigan.

Jun Ye joined JILA in August 1999 as an Associate JILA Fellow, arriving from Caltech.

Katy Garmany is leaving her position as JILA Fellow in June 2000 to take a position as a faculty member of Columbia University, working at the biosphere in Arizona.

David Norcross retired in April 2000 from his position as Director of the NIST Boulder Laboratories to take a position at Harvard as Director of the Physics Laboratories.
